The 370 was designed to fill the role of the 9L (25.17) and 9LT (25.17ABC) shaped calibres seen in most rectangular longines men's models from the mid 1930s to the late 1950s. This calibre was only produced in one orientation with subsidiary seconds unlike other calibres designed around this time which were made in center seconds and date variations too.
