The 27O, is mechanically identical to the 12.68Z though it has better finishing and a different bridge structure. It is commonly mistaken for the later 27M which has an identical looking bridge structure but differs from its predecessor in height. The 27O is the same height as the 12.68Z (4.25 mm) compared to the 27M (3.2mm). The "O" designation means "L'Or", French for the word gold. This denotes its intention for use in gold cased offerings from the brand instead of the 12.68Z.
