Calibre 18.72

Development of the 18.72 began with the intention of making a slimmer and smaller pocket watch Chronograph movement. The basic version of the movement had a 30 minute counter and did not have instantaneous jumping minutes. Like its predecessor, the 19.73 a bevy of versions were produced over the years including a simpler stop second version similar in concept to the 12.68Z Stop. Regular production of a Rattrapante version started in 1943. There was also a central minutes version of the movement that required several new unique components. One 36,000 vph version was made out of the first 1928 example of the 18.72. A 1/100th stopwatch without time only components was also made that derived from this calibre.
