Notes
As electronic watches entered the market in the mid-1960s, members of the Longines technical department decided to embark on the creation of a high beat mechanical calibre intended to compete with the accuracy of electronic movements. This calibre and its derivatives would be the basis of the Ultra-Chron line. The watch was the first wristwatch calibre made by the brand that had 36,000 vph.
