The Cal. 24 was a rattrapante chronograph calibre designed in 1938 for the anticipated 1940 Olympic games which were originally planned to take place in Tokyo until the outbreak of the second Sino-Japanese War in 1937. The Olympics were then intended to take place in Helsinki in 1940 but were cancelled in 1939 due to the outbreak of World War II and the subsequent Soviet invasion of Finland. The calibre itself was a rattrapante chronograph, designed with a similar architecture to the 18.72, but considerably larger. It was capable of recording in 1/5th of a second increments.
