Notes

The 11.68Z is a version of the 10.68Z with a wider main plate made primarily for the American market. The American market at the time was subject to stringent import regulations that meant the watches were imported as movements with dial and hands and then were placed in locally produced cases by the US Longines-Wittnauer company which was independent though it had a long history with Longines. These movements are most commonly found in W Not much information is available about why this was done. It was also marketed as the 11L in the US following the American naming scheme of the time and it does not appear to have survived the war years as no examples seem to exist from after about 1940.
